Plagiarism and Similarity Screening

All manuscripts are subject to similarity screening before publication.

The journal use Turnitin.

A similarity score is not treated as automatic evidence of plagiarism.

Editors evaluate:

• location of matching text;
• extent of overlap;
• sources of similarities;
• attribution;
• quotations;
• standard engineering terminology;
• methodology descriptions; and
• reuse of previously published material.

If the journal applies an internal numerical guideline, state:

Similarity Guideline: 25%

The final decision is based on editorial evaluation rather than percentage alone.
