Complaints & Appeals

The journal provides a transparent and fair procedure for complaints and appeals.

Complaints may relate to:

• editorial procedures;
• peer-review processes;
• ethical concerns;
• reviewer conduct;
• editor conduct;
• published articles;
• administrative procedures; or
• other journal activities.

Complaints should be sent to the Editorial Office and should include sufficient details and supporting evidence.

Authors may appeal an editorial decision if they believe that a significant factual, procedural, or scholarly error affected the decision.

An appeal must clearly explain the academic basis for reconsideration.

The journal does not reconsider a decision solely because an author disagrees with reviewer comments.

If a complaint concerns the Editor-in-Chief, the matter must be referred to [Publisher Representative / Independent Senior Editor / Ethics Committee] who was not involved in the original decision.

An appeal does not guarantee reversal of an editorial decision.
